About Amber
I have a great passion for music and composition. I began playing French horn at the age of 8 and have gone on to play in a multitude of high level ensembles including jazz bands, rock groups (playing bass guitar) and choirs (singing a range of music from liturgy to musical theatre). I studied music at GCSE and A-Level, receiving full marks in all my compositions, and went on to study music at Cambridge University, where I am an active participant in musical life where I play in several orchestras and jazz ensembles, sing in a charter choir and am the president of the Homerton College Music Society.
I recently wrote a dissertation on the music of Star Wars, and am preparing to write one on the influence of Madonna on popular music and media. I have written a wide variety of compositions, including large scale orchestral film music pieces, choral works, and abstract experimental pieces for small ensembles.
I love music, and would love to be able to pass on my knowledge and experience, and also to learn from my students!

Hi! I'm offering 60 minute tutoring sessions for A-Level music (Edexcel course). I also tutor composition (for any exam board) at GCSE and A-Level standard.
I am a Cambridge student studying Music, with interest in Popular Music, Music History, Musicology, Tonal Skills and Film Music. I specialise in Composition for small and large ensembles, including full orchestras, in a variety of styles (including modern, film and pastiche compositions).
I will assist with analysis of musical examples, assign and mark practise essays for set works (Edexcel). For composition, I will guide students through composition techniques and offer feedback on work in progress.
I am also happy to offer assistance with UCAS applications, including Oxbridge, and interview coaching.
