About Miles
I am a current third-year student at the Courtauld Institute of Art, reading for a degree in History of Art. I also love to teach! Ever since my GCSEs, I have been teaching my younger brothers, and as I became a university student in 2019, tutoring felt natural. My aspirations are to become a lecturer, as I have always found school a fun and safe environment, as well as an important one, where individuals cultivate themselves and their interests. I hope to share all of this with you, as I am enormously passionate about the Humanities; I am well-primed in helping students get into schools and universities, and aim to equip students with the tools to conquer most academic problems, both inside and outside of our lessons.

I have been tutoring for three years now, and have worked with students from KS3 to A-Levels, all with different academic goals. Many have wished to push their grades up on exam day, or achieve in an entrance examination. Ultimately, every student is different, and the best tutor identifies their student's academic strengths and weaknesses so as to help them improve effectively. As a result, I like to start off with a quick one-to-one chat to help me work out how I can tailor a lesson that would work best for you. I can help students to produce essay plans, effective study notes, or else simply cover content and look at how we can improve exam technique to pick up those crucial extra marks. For 11+ students, I can take you through past-papers and worksheets to help you improve your comprehension and creative writing. Indeed, I am happy to work the lesson very much around your needs, and help you to gain the marks needed to achieve your academic goals - whatever they may be.
As an undergraduate I am very flexible on timings, and always happy to work to your schedule. I can't wait to meet you, and hope that I can help to build your academic confidence for later life.

Perfect! Miles is very knowledgeable and experienced tutor.
He is preparing my son for the 11+, with a focus on English.
Miles has a solid understanding of technology and is able to use Zoom and OneNote facilitating a smooth transition from on site teaching to online learning.
