About Joseph
With more than 18 years of experience as a violin tutor, I specialize in teaching college students who want focused, structured, and effective violin lessons. I believe strong basics and smart practice lead to confident performance. My teaching approach combines creativity, accountability, and mentorship. I work on posture, bow technique, finger accuracy, rhythm control, intonation, and tone development. I also encourage students to think critically about their playing and develop independent learning skills. I use innovative methods such as practice breakdowns, slow practice strategies, guided listening sessions, and performance exercises. These tools help students practice efficiently and improve step by step. I also support students with basic music theory and sight-reading. Accountability is central to my teaching.
