My qualifications are the following:
- Tofino Poet Laureate (2022-2024)
- Certified BC teacher for 5 years
- Teacher-Librarian certificate
- Member of the League of Canadian Poets and the Federation of BC Writers
- Member of the Clayoquot Writers Group
- Published poet in Arc Poetry Magazine, Sea & Cedar Magazine (Spring 2022 and Winter 2023), Van Isle Poetry Collective, and winner of VIRL Poem in Your Pocket.
- Published chapbook titled "Handmade Binoculars"
Most importantly, I am passionate about poetry!

My lessons are workshop-based where a student prepares a rough draft of a piece of writing or they are provided with writing prompts to create a new piece of writing. I use my traditional teaching skills to support each student through structure, form, literary devices, figurative language, theme, tone, syntax and diction. I use my passion for poetry to evoke meaning and imagery!
I will also support students in pursuing traditional publication or self-publishing.
