I begin by assessing each student's current understanding and identifying areas for improvement, tailoring my lessons to their specific needs and learning styles. My approach incorporates interactive methods, such as discussions, real-life examples, and practical exercises, ensuring that students understand the material and apply it effectively. I work with students to set achievable learning goals and develop a roadmap to reach them, fostering a sense of achievement and motivation. Regular feedback and assessments help track progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes.
A typical lesson lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. This duration allows for in-depth exploration of topics while maintaining focus and engagement. However, I am flexible with lesson length based on the student’s concentration span and learning needs.
I have seven years of tutoring experience, specializing in Science, Social Science, and English for school and university students. As an IELTS English tutor, I have achieved a high success rate, with over 90% of my students scoring a band 8. My academic excellence as a top scorer in my Associate Degree in Business Administration and a high honors student at university underpins my strong tutoring practice. Additionally, my background in pre-medical biology equips me to effectively teach science subjects with a comprehensive understanding of the content. Currently, I am a student at the University of Adelaide studying IT, maintaining a high GPA.
