About Olivia
My name is Olivia & I graduated from high school in 2021 with a 90+ ATAR and top of cohort within Year 12 Biology and Chemistry, which granted me entry to the University of Queensland's Veterinary School. I studied a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from 2022-2023, before being privileged to being offered a place in my current degree- a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Bond University. I currently intend to complete my Bachelor of Biomedical Science in April of 2026, where I will be applying to Bond University's Medical Program to become a Doctor of Medicine. I have always enjoyed tutoring- and have found myself teaching others as a way to consolidate my own understanding of content throughout high school and university. It would be my absolute pleasure to help you reach your individual goals for success, regardless of whether they are to pass or to get the highest mark possible.

I am a tutor who specializes in teaching students who are studying high school (Year 7 to Year 12) biology and chemistry disciplines. Whether your goal is to consolidate knowledge in these subjects to a passing level, or to achieve the highest score you are capable of, I will support your journey in achieving and surpassing your goals. I have learned to tutor throughout high school and university due to the fact that I have always learned content best by teaching others, and spent most of my study time teaching others the content. I understand that different learning styles mean that a tutor must strive to accommodate their student by adjusting their teaching to target weaknesses in their student's knowledge, and delivering information in a manner which is easy to understand and retain. Therefore, these are some things that you can expect from a single session with me: - The session will begin with 10 minutes of discussing the key points which are going to be discussed during the session so that tasks can be broken down into manageable bite-size concepts. (I understand that large bulk content can be hard to digest). And finish with 5 minutes of consolidation of the primary points which were discussed. - The session will be largely interactive (questions prompted throughout) and the student is encouraged to ask any questions as soon as they don't understand. However, if question asking makes the student feel too on the spot, it can be requested that questions are completed after the session through a 'tutorial sheet' assigned to be checked at the start of the next session. - Tutor created diagrams & quiz sheets (provided by me for no additional fee) to aid in learning for an individual concept or topic, specialized to the learning style of the student. First 10 minutes: Discussion of key learning outcomes for the session 10 Minutes - 1 Hour: Interactive teaching session where I will explain the relevant content and discuss the teachings with the student. 1 Hour - 1 Hour & 25 minutes: Completing questions provided by the tutor in a time slot where the tutor can assist in how to answer exam style questions. 1 Hour & 25 Minutes - 1 Hour & 30 Minutes: Consolidation of important concepts & assignment of any tasks to be completed before next session. I hope that throughout our tutoring sessions we can work together to achieve your goals and further your comprehension within the exciting topics of Biology & Chemistry.
