About Neil
Hi, I’m Neil - an Economics and Business tutor with First Class Honors, a CGPA of 8.74 out of 9, and a track record of helping students understand economics properly, not just memorize diagrams. I graduated from the University of Auckland with majors in Economics and Marketing, earning Senior Scholar status (Top 1%) and 6 First-in-Course awards. I was also an official university Economics Tutor, where I supported students through one-on-one mentoring, exam preparation, and concept breakdowns. At high school level I achieved the NZQA Outstanding Scholar Award, placing me in the top 70 or 0.1% students nationally. I won the University of Auckland Scholarship (120 awarded annually) and achieved my NCEA levels 1-3 endorsed with excellence and a 100% excellence rate for all credits. Beyond academics, I’ve spent the last several years applying economics in the real world - scaling businesses, analyzing markets, pricing products, and making data-backed decisions. This means I don’t teach economics as abstract theory - I teach it as a way of thinking.
