About Riona
I grew up in Conamara, an all Irish speaking area packed full of traditional song and music. I began playing at the age of 7 and fell in love with it instantly. Traditional music is such a gem and I believe every fiddle player can have a love for it.
Through the years I have learned the tin whistle, concertina and can tackle a bit of banjo playing!
I believe being a multi instrumentalist poses for a great advantage in your musical devolpemnt.

My lessons will be 45 minutes and and I charge €25.
I will aim to teach a new tune in each class, focusing on developing technique, rhythm and tuning.
I can offer these lessons in English or my first language, Irish. Gaeilge agus ceol go hand in hand so I would be delighted to switch between the two!
I teach by ear, but can also provide written music when needed. Learning by ear is the key to a musical genius!!!
I am happy to provide lessons from the comfort of your own home as I am a student always on the move. However if zoom is easier that is totally doable!
