My approach to physics is just like the subject itself. There is theory that needs to be learned but the most important thing is that students know how to apply it, not just recite the formula or definitions. My lessons involve short bits of theory with worked examples. As the lesson progresses the examples become more complicated and the scaffolding becomes less, which allows the student to become more independent in their learning.
Typically, my IB lessons are 1.5 hours and IGCSE are 1 hour. The reason is that IB takes time to fully explore a section of the course.
I am a fully qualified UK teacher. I have been teaching internationally for 19 years and all of those years I have been teaching IGCSE and IB Physics.
