About Peta
I am a secondary school teacher and have been teaching since 1991. Trained in Drama and English, with a Bachelor of Education, I tutor students to enhance their innate connection to true expression. I have been a Drama Co-Ordinator in schools and was also nominated for a National Excellence in Teaching Award, My particular love is to ignite within students their own unique quality of expression and the confidence in being all that they already are.
Students of all ages and abilities, once reconnected with, rise above perceived inhibitions as they enjoy the amazing quality of their own essence that they can naturally express from when reconnected to the intelligence of the body and it’s way of moving and vocalising.
Getting our pictures, ideals and beliefs out of the way is key and part of the re-learning process is identifying these as we go along so as to unveil the hidden treasure we do indeed behold within.
By consistently developing and deepening our understanding of the role breath and body awareness plays, we unlock a true appreciation for a particular text and it’s intent. There is nothing we can’t express and represent if we understand the character and the energy that is behind them, driving or evolving the action.
Assistance in both written and spoken fields are not only offered for all areas related to acting and drama but also for any speech and presentation requirements. Analysis, reviews, scripting, reflective writing and editing skills can all be developed and enhanced.
Perhaps you simply want support to build the confidence you have on the inside and to bring it out to the world....for in truth, we already know this way of expression, we just haven’t been taught how to be with it.

We begin by establishing true connection as our foundation....in our student-teacher relationship as we share the experience we each bring to the table. Learning is symbiotic.
We then commence the reconnection to our body and it’s intelligence with the assistance of:
The Gentle Breath Meditation &
Body Awareness exercises.
The remainder of the lesson depends upon student requirements but at all times, the student is encouraged to express from their own body and lived wisdom.
