About Harvey
I’m a classically trained trumpet player of 16 years, I completed my AMusA with distinction 5 years ago. I’m a passionate musician with great experience in orchestral playing along with chamber music and the solo repertoire. I’ve performed with the prestigious Australian Youth Orchestra on their 2022 east coast Australia tour as the second trumpet, Opera Victoria in a professional production of ‘Il Maggo di Oz’ and as principal trumpet of the Geelong Symphony Orchestra. I’m also a keen surfer and gardener and make sure to establish a positive and enthusiastic environment to hold the lessons, I believe joy and happiness will always yield greater results than unnecessary stress!!

Music is a place of joy and challenge, I love to share my passion of playing with others. I try to encompass all aspects in my teaching; music theory, musicianship, foundation technique and perhaps most importantly, musicality! Lessons can range anywhere from half an hour to an hour fifteen depending on the student and their needs! I’m a teacher of two years and have taught a variety of younger ages from 4 years old to 36. I’m happy to expand this to all ages as I firmly believe in the positive change playing music can have in people's lives and wish to bring that to all I can, no matter the level or age!!
