About Zachary
As a Biology major at Tufts University with a 3.90 science GPA, I’ve completed every advanced course in the cell biology department, including molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, physiology, computational biology, genetics, and advanced DNA repair. I bring this foundation to my approach, focusing on how to think like a scientist rather than memorize facts. Beyond coursework, I have hands-on research experience through a summer in Regeneron’s Cancer Immunology Department and two years at MIT’s Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. This experience allows me to help students not only to improve their grades, but also to appreciate the science behind them.

My lessons are designed for both high school and college students seeking to strengthen their understanding of biology. Each session begins with a clear introduction and explanation of key concepts before moving into problem walkthroughs and targeted exercises. I choose to master core ideas first, then applying them through practice.
I believe that true mastery comes from understanding the “why” behind each concept, so I focus on developing critical thinking and scientific reasoning, not just memorization.
Students can expect an interactive and encouraging environment where complex ideas are broken down into simple steps. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson more confident, curious, and capable of thinking like a scientist.
