About Carmen
As a former FLE student myself, I have personally experienced the struggles of the FLE papers; which is why I'm confident in my teaching methodology of conceptual knowledge over memorization. Logical and critical thinking skills are what I prioritize in my lessons, and my goal is to guide students to be independent thinkers in solving exam-style questions.
I am a highly organized tutor who believes that lessons should be fun. I firmly believe that experience is not necessarily measured in years; the education field is ever-changing, and I, as a young teacher, am able to keep up and adapt to each student's learning style.

Lessons will typically be 1 to 1.5 hours per session, dependent on each learner's preference and abilities. I have more than 2 years of experience teaching English, and used to teach other languages such as Mandarin and Malay.
Though my specialization is in Cambridge Secondary, my lessons range from beginner to advanced levels; I am also able to prepare lessons for specific purposes (e.g. business, travel). From strengthening weaker students' foundations to preparing advanced learners to be top scorers, I am experienced to tailor each lesson to your needs!
