About Kay
I have recently completed the CA multiple subject teaching credential program/master's degree and in the process of obtaining my preliminary credential from the State. My plan was to teach this fall, however, under current circumstances, I am looking to tutor instead. I would love to help your elementary student(s) with remote learning with my wide range of experience. First, I am a mother of 2 girls, 5th and 7th grade, whom I help to learn through virtual school currently. Last fall, I taught 2nd grade for my student teaching assignment in Corona Norco Unified School District. Also, I have been a long term substitute for 4th and 5th grades in Central School District in Rancho Cucamonga. And while I was in grad school, I worked as an elementary school librarian, reading to all students K-5 daily and assisting the intervention team with testing.

I believe every student is unique and learns differently. Therefore, my approach to teaching students is to understand how they learn best and use that strength to engage them to learn. I also believe that a good education is not just about mastery of content, rather, the development of the skillset that is required to do school and life.
