About Sophie
Experienced art history tutor with a PhD from the University of Cambridge and experience working in the commercial art sector. I have an MA with distinction from Birkbeck, and I have tutored undergraduates at Cambridge. I specialise in British art history, but my research draws on ideas of transnationalism and global art history. I also have experience in researching Spanish art, and have taught survey courses in the field. I am enthusiastic and approachable, and can assist with essay writing skills, research skills, university applications, school and undergraduate level history of art.

I teach essay writing skills, research skills, and critical thinking skills. I like to use art objects and collections as the basis for my teaching, focusing on visual analysis. I can also teach on theoretical approaches to the discipline. I am enthusiastic and approachable, and have a passion for art which I hope to relay through my lessons.
