About Tina
I am a second-year UBC student, working towards honours in International Relations, a minor in Political Sciences and a Dual Degree in Masters of Management. I have had extensive experience in academic English and oral presentations. Believe it or not, I used to be a really shy student too. However, during my time at the International Baccalaureate Highschool program, oral presentations were easily the most common form of assessment. That experience has taught me a lot of tips and tricks to use in order to deliver speeches and presentations naturally and impactfully. My classes are ideal for students K-12, as well as international students.

The aspect that sets my classes apart from all others is how I customize my lessons for each specific student. My first session with each student is dedicated to discovering their unique learning style (visual/pictorial, verbal, hands-on etc), identifying key areas of weakness as well as goal-setting. Then, I will discuss my findings with the parent/guardian and student as well as reveal plans for classes moving forward. My lessons are very flexible in terms of methodology and this is my greatest asset as this will allow my lessons to be both effective and engaging.
