About Aabhas
Before anything else, I share a genuine passion for mathematics. I enjoy exploring the reasoning behind mathematical ideas and indulging in the satisfaction that comes from finally understanding a difficult concept. Having achieved top grades throughout my education, including GCSE and IB Mathematics, I understand first-hand how demanding these courses can be. I know the challenges students face because I have been through them myself, and I want to use my experience to help others succeed. I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence and develop a real understanding of mathematics, rather than simply having to remember standard techniques, as I strongly believe the beauty of mathematics extends far beyond memorising formulae and methods. Hence, my goal is to make maths approachable, enjoyable, and accessible, while helping every student achieve their full potential.

My lessons are centred around developing a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics rather than simply memorising methods. I teach topics from the ground up, ensuring students fully understand the underlying ideas before moving on to more challenging problems. Throughout each lesson, I regularly assess understanding using carefully selected exam-style and past paper questions, making sure students build confidence and develop the techniques needed to succeed in exams.
As a second-year Mathematics & Computing student with an excellent academic track record of 10 grade 9s at GCSE and 44/45 at IB (top 1.2% globally), I understand the demands of GCSE and IB Mathematics - hence I tailor every lesson to the individual student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Lessons are typically one and a half hour long and are suitable for students of all abilities, whether they need support catching up or are aiming for the highest grades.
