About Jessica
I am a Biomedical Engineering student at UCL and achieved the following qualifications:
A* — Mathematics (Edexcel)
A — Further Mathematics (Edexcel)
A — Physics (OCR A)
A — Chemistry (OCR A)
Pass — Level 3 Algebra (Edexcel)
Alongside my studies, I have experience teaching as a martial arts instructor in an inclusive class for children with and without disabilities. This has taught me to be patient, adapt how I explain techniques to different students, and recognise when students need a different type of prompting.
I have also helped younger students with Maths through my school's Maths Club, giving me experience breaking down mathematical concepts and helping students work through questions they initially struggled with.

Having recently completed my A-Levels, I understand both the content and what current mark schemes require to maximise your child’s marks. I also know what it feels like to struggle with Maths: I started A-Level Maths working at a C, was predicted a B, and achieved an A* within one year before going on to complete Further Maths.
Through this experience, I developed the ability to approach and explain questions using different methods. This allows me to tailor my lessons to how your child thinks, rather than expecting every student to understand Maths in the same way.
Outside of lessons, students have access to Further Maths resources I have created, including videos explaining how and why algorithms work, quick refreshers, and mock papers for additional exam practice.
I understand the pressure of feeling behind and not knowing what to prioritise. I help students work through content efficiently while developing a deep mathematical understanding.
My aim is for students to become less reliant on being shown what to do and increasingly able to recognise, approach, and solve unfamiliar questions independently.
