About Julia
I am a university student, currently doing my BSc in Neuroscience at UCL in London. I come from Poland but I have completed an International Baccalaureate bilingual diploma with the score of 43 out of 45, including Higher Level Chemistry, Biology and English, as well as, Standard Level Geography, Polish Literature and Math. I am quite passionate about foreign languages, particularly French and Russian. My tutoring experience was mostly based on teaching the former to a variety of peers over the last two years. Nevertheless, I also have quite a vast expertise in giving considerate and constructive feedback on written and oral assignments, whether in a form of an essay or lab report. I have accumulated skills of explaining the tricky concepts in a way that they can be accessible and easily memorised so that learning becomes more enjoyable and personal! My preferred teaching method is based on the ability to make the student understand the material profoundly. This is done through the range of diagrams, funny acronyms, animations and drawings. I also try to make my students aware of easy associations they can draw between different areas which helps them to ground their knowledge and make it more relatable. I am more than willing to tutor anyone up to A-levels qualifications. I usually believe in learning through studying and then consolidating knowledge through practice, that is why I always prepare special material that each student can review and use as a self-test for checking the objectives and understandings.
