About Josiah

My name is Josiah Apodaca, and I’m a native English speaker from the United States with a degree in Linguistics from UCLA. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of how language works, while my experience as an ESL tutor has taught me how to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds in a way that’s clear, patient, and effective. I specialize in helping students improve their fluency, pronunciation, and confidence through personalized, conversation-based lessons. Whether you're preparing for a job interview, working on casual conversation skills, or fine-tuning grammar and vocabulary, I’m here to support your goals with tailored guidance and encouragement. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for language and teaching, my ability to create a relaxed learning environment, and my commitment to helping students speak English naturally and confidently.

About the lesson

My approach is conversation-based and student-centered. I focus on building confidence through real-world communication. I incorporate listening, speaking, and pronunciation practice using natural dialogue, while also correcting grammar and vocabulary gently along the way. I adapt to each student's pace and learning style, ensuring they feel heard and encouraged.
