About Nina
As a passionate violinist, I am currently studying Violin Performance at UCLA under the guidance of distinguished professors Movses Pogossian and Ji Young An. My musical journey has been shaped by exceptional mentors, including Ronald Houston and Jan Mark Sloman, whose instruction laid the foundation for my development as a performer.
Throughout my training, I have earned recognition at both the state and national level, including selection for the TMEA All-State and All-Region Orchestras - among the most competitive honors for high school musicians in Texas. I was named a Semifinalist in the Coltman National Chamber Music Competition and a Finalist in the MTNA competition. I also served as Co-Concertmaster of my high school orchestra and performed with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, one of the premier youth ensembles in the country.
I am passionate about sharing my love of music with young learners and am excited to help guide you through your own musical journey!

I specialize in teaching violin in a fun but encouraging environment. My lessons focus on building a strong foundation & technique - proper posture, bow hold, and tone production - before moving into repertoire.
What sets my teaching apart is patience and positivity - I make sure every student leaves the lesson feeling accomplished and proud of their progress. I use a mix of traditional methods and modern songs to keep kids engaged and excited to practice at home.
