About Jacob
Hi, I'm Jacob: guitar, banjo, ukulele teacher based in Stroud, Gloucestershire!
As a musician and co-songwriter, my band Faeland have been featured on BBC Radio 6 & feature film 23 Walks.
As a teacher with 20 years of experience, I aim to find what lights you up with music!

I can help you if you’re looking to learn new techniques, want to learn a specific style or technique, are stuck in a rut with your playing or just want to enjoy playing and learning!
I’m currently taking on beginner, improver, intermediate & advanced players aged 12 to adult.
I specialise in the following styles:
folk/acoustic/singer-songwriter
country/bluegrass
pop/rock/indie
Western swing
blues/R&B/jazz basics
Everyone has different challenges and interests, so I always tailor lessons to your individual needs. I like to focus on learning through playing music that you love (songs, instrumentals, improvisation, etc.), while helping you feel a sense of progress and growth.
TEACHING LOCATION
I teach from my home studio in Brimscombe, Stroud (in Gloucestershire). It has everything we need for your lesson!
Alternatively I’m available for online lessons via Zoom (or Facetime, Google, etc.).
