About Mia
As a teen I’d struggled academically in school and faced various problems with my behaviour; I wasn’t interested in education and disregarded higher education. Until the last year of school came around and I had limited options. My predicted grades were well below average and I desperately wanted to turn it around. Outside of school I’d started lessons with a tutor and was put into extra lessons in school. The tools and exam skills I will be teaching you are what got me from a Grade 2 to a Grade 8 in a total of 8 months left to go. That then inspired me to go onto A Level and come out with A* in the subject. In my second year of study at A Level I was put onto the ‘buddy programme’ where I’m paired with people in the years below tutoring GCSE English and A Level. All the students I have tutored previously have achieved GCSE from 4-9 and A Level ‘C’ or above.

My lessons are 80% skills based, and 20% content revision. Every lesson is centred around real exam paper questions. I’m also able to mark answers and provide feedback.
