About Gabriel

Although this would be my first experience as a tutor for students younger than myself, the subjects that I am offering hold material that I have tutored peers in. I enjoy helping others problem-solve and get them to a place where they are confident and proud of their success. If the first explanation does not seem to fit, we will look for alternative perspectives to start building a pattern to solve the problem.

About the lesson

- Assess students' in-class participation and talk about their goals - Share advice on how to be a good student and how to cultivate interest in topics they may struggle with (note-taking skills, real-world applications, patterns across subjects) - Asking for a tutor is the first step and once we create some understanding and success with problems, we're creating some momentum for the next steps - Qualifications: 3.91 GPA at D'Evelyn Jr/Sr High School, 4.0 GPA at Colorado School of Mines, work at Lakewood Recreation as a youth sports coach - Students to help: middle schoolers and high schoolers in algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, physics, and chemistry
