About Benjamin
My name is Benjamin Ansley, and I am an undergraduate student studying Economics at University. I enjoy helping people understand topics they may struggle with better, and as such I approach tutoring with the mindset that if you want to learn, then you can learn.
After my Degree, I intend to go on to complete a PGCE and become a maths teacher, and am completing frequent work experience in Secondary Schools and Sixth Form colleges.
If you don't understand something, then a lot of the time it won't be your fault. You may not understand the way it's explained by your teacher, it may have been rushed, or there may not have been enough examples. I hope sessions with me would help you overcome these problems, and realise that you can learn anything as long as you have the right mindset and plenty of resources.

I have helped TA in maths and physics classes through Years 7-13, and approach tutoring with the student in mind.
Prior to a session, I check what content the student wants to go over, whether they have any tests they have had but don't understand etc, so I can go over the material myself and ensure know what is needed to help the student. I then would go through a summary of the topic with them, and run through practise example questions with them. I would then allow them to lead by going through some practise questions, and then some applied exam questions. I would then set them extra tasks if appropriate for the next tutoring session.
Lessons would range between 30-60 minutes, tending towards being longer rather than shorter.
