About Robert
I'm Rob! An undergraduate maths student at UCL (University College London), my interest for maths has always been strong and I hope I can inspire others too. My goal is to get people to enjoy maths. I've often found that people who say they dislike maths, start to enjoy it when a concept clicks and they understand how to solve a problem.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and rock climbing as it allows me to apply my problem solving skills to physical exercise. I also enjoy 3D printing as I can apply both my creative and critical thinking skills all at once to make and design objects.

To teach maths I start by slowly explaining a new concept with motivation for the purpose of the maths. I then go through examples, getting the student to input along the way to check their understanding. Students then attempt some problems on their own, being allowed to freely make mistakes before being helped.
I'm an undergraduate maths student at UCL, achieving four A*'s at A level including maths and further maths. I also have experience tutoring online.
My lesson time is flexible between the 1-2 hour range, as maths needs adequate time to be explored, but not so much that the student fatigues from difficult concepts.
My lessons are aimed at anyone in secondary school or sixth form with a particular emphasis on GCSE and A level content.
