About Abigail
At the forefront of a good tutor, is a patient person. I understand firsthand the overwhelm a student may feel and can guarantee they will have a clearer, more relaxed mind surrounding assignments and English after meeting with me! I want to reduce the stigma around tutoring and promote confidence in these students. I have been successful with all of my students at my college's tutoring center, assisting those with a wide range of needs.

My go-to methods are outlining, reading aloud, and focusing on one aspect at a time to reduce overwhelm. A typical lesson plan with me starts with a debrief of everything about an assignment or what you need assistance with. After that, we will read any related writing or reading aloud and set up an outline for what needs to be done. What sets me apart is my patience, I never want a student to feel rushed, overwhelmed, or embarrassed. I offer lessons for middle school to college-level students in any reading or writing-related courses (English). Specificities are MLA & APA style, AP style, and creative writing, with a focus on thesis, grammar, structure, and sentence crafting.
