About Simon
Hi, I’m an Engineering student with a passion for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and working through practical challenges. Having sat my A-Levels very recently, I remember exactly what it feels like to struggle with tricky concepts and the pressure of working towards target grades.
I tutor because I love helping students experience that "Click!" moment when a difficult concept suddenly makes sense. My goal is to build an open, encouraging environment where students feel completely comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building real confidence.
A strong background in technical subjects, as well as previous tutoring experience, has trained me to look at complex problems logically and break them down into manageable steps. I adapt to each student's unique learning style so they gain both deep subject understanding and strong exam strategies.
I am also fully Enhanced DBS checked.

I offer engaging, structured online tutoring for GCSE Science & Maths, as well as A-Level Mathematics. As a Mechanical Engineering student who recently sat A-Levels (achieving an A in Maths alongside Physics and Computer Science), I understand the current exam boards, mark schemes, and common tricky concepts firsthand.
My lessons are tailored entirely to the student’s goal, whether that is mastering foundational concepts, working through past paper questions, or improving exam technique. I use digital whiteboards to write out step-by-step solutions live, helping students visualise problems clearly.
Duration: Typically 60 minutes per session (flexible depending on student needs).
Who it's for: GCSE students aiming to boost their grades in Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry and A-Level Maths students looking to master complex topics like calculus or mechanics. I also take on primary and secondary school students in Maths and Science.
Style: Friendly, supportive, and focused on building confidence alongside subject knowledge.
