About Habeba
Hi! I’m Habeba Hossain and I’m from Liverpool but currently studying at Princeton University. I have a wide range of interests, but when it comes to English, I especially love horror fiction. That interest first sparked when I studied Macbeth and analysing such a dark and infamous play really drew me in and made me curious about the way language shapes the atmosphere and psychology for the reader. I want to tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others grow through reading and writing. Plus, it gives me a chance to keep exploring texts I love while supporting students in building confidence in their own voice. Fun fact: I have read a book 7 seven times, take a lesson to find out which one!

My approach begins with getting to know the student and understanding their strengths, areas for improvement, and how they feel about English as a subject. We'll walk through the syllabus together and create a personalised checklist to track progress! Each 60-minute session will be structured for maximum impact. We'll start with a 5-minute reflection to check in and set goals, followed by focused work on specific skills and then end with a recap and identify any areas that need continued attention. My aim is to improve writing skills, but also to build confidence and make writing feel more approachable and enjoyable. My lessons are for students studying for their GCSEs or below who need support with writing, comprehension, or creative expression.
