About Ben
I am an undergraduate student at Clark University majoring in Education and Developmental Psychology with a minor in Math. My current research involves cultural differences in ways of learning in elementary mathematics. I have four years of experience tutoring elementary, middle school, and high school math, specializing in pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. I work mostly with students ages 8-15 and am in the process of receiving my Masters of Arts in Teaching for elementary education.

I see tutoring as a collaborative process between the student and me, and truly want to see every student grow, improve, and succeed. My goal is for every student to come away from each tutoring session feeling more confident in their math abilities and themselves as a learner. Before I start working with a student, I spend time developing a personal learning plan with them to keep track of our progress throughout sessions while keeping larger educational goals in mind.
