About Dylan
I studied Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language in secondary school from year 7, completing both AQA Chinese GCSE and Edexcel Chinese A-Level. Currently, I study BA Chinese at the University of Oxford, where I learn both modern and classical Chinese, and use both simplified and traditional characters. Currently I am based in Oxford, and as of September 2024 I will be living in Taiwan on my year abroad.

I've completed both GCSE and A-Level Mandarin Chinese and I am currently study BA Chinese at the University of Oxford. As a non-native speaker, I have been in the position of many students studying Chinese, having little opportunity to speak Mandarin outside of scheduled lesson times in school, which I would offer as a tutor. Furthe, having been taught by both native and non-native speakers myself, I understand the value of being taught by others who have learnt Chinese as a second language. As a tutor, I will provide extra help with, for example, work set in class, aiding in areas such as comprehension, reading and writing, and valuable conversation practice.
My preference for our tutoring sessions would be online/video calls, since I am a student studying full time.
