A typical lesson will be 90 minutes long and it will contain: teaching, practicing and recap which consists of going over bits you didn’t understand and going through everything you’ve learned.
This will make sure that you have thoroughly understood the content that you may be struggling with.
Also, you will be set a 30 minute task at the end of each lesson which will be due for the next lesson. This will help me understand what you need improvement on.
I have worked with many primary and secondary school kids to advance their knowledge in any field.
