About Noelle
When I was a sophomore in high school, I reached out to my school to get information on how I could start tutoring on a volunteer basis for those who were struggling with online learning due to COVID-19.
Never would I have thought in those 3 years that I would have the experiences that I did. Since starting tutoring, I have had the privilege to be connected with my local community. I have built personal relationships with families who have entrusted my abilities to their children and to provide real improvements for them.
As I exited high school and transitioned into college leaving behind the families I worked for, I continued to receive messages from them expressing their gratitude for my help.
I understand that math is the hardest subject to comprehend, and I ensure that my tutoring style supports all students, rather than making them feel less-than. I want to give each student that I work with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed without a tutor some day and to perform greater than they ever have.

With every new student I work with, I get to know what their strengths are and what they are looking to improve. I become familiar with their learning style and tailor tutoring methods to their needs.
I typically use a particular method with my students, once I get to know them on a more personal level. I first watch them do the problem that they are working on (homework, extra study problems, or problems that I've crafted) and see if they can do it on their own first. This part is crucial in my work as I don't want to be the tutor that just simply does all of the work for the student. I want them to try before I step in and help.
I will then walk through the steps on how to solve the problem and pull more examples to ensure understanding.
This method has been successful when curating lessons for all grades and types of math, and I am confident in my ability to continue utilizing my skills to help future students of mine.
