- Individualised teaching approach - focus on adapting each lesson to students' specific concerns.
- Experience tutoring history at GCSE level as part of a student-led history clinic for 1 year
- Teaching method: understand struggles student is having, break down problems/questions by part and explain how to solve each step, give student a range of questions to build up to the problem they face so they understand the entire process required to answer similar questions (e.g., one historical source analysis, one paragraph of an essay), practice more challenging exam questions of the same type to push their understanding further.
- Lesson length 45 minutes/1 hour to allow for time to delve into problems fully and explore a variety of questions to apply knowledge to ensure student is confident with these questions after.
- Teach ages 11+ (starting at 8 years old) to GCSE (16 years old).
