About Joshua
I am passionate about building confidence through lessons and giving students the skills and experience to explore topics further. I aim to make learning enjoyable and accessible while supporting students in developing their understanding, writing, and study skills. Through tailored lessons, discussion, and practice exercises, I intend to help learners feel ready to investigate subjects independently, gain clarity, and achieve academic success. I enjoy fostering curiosity and encouraging students to explore topics beyond the classroom, making learning both rewarding and engaging.

I am a postgraduate History and Classics student (BA 2025, MLitt current) offering 30–60 minute lessons in English, Classical Civilisation, Ancient Greek, Latin, and German. I draw on my experience as a Writing Centre tutor, my university classes, and research in classical texts and history to guide students through discussion, practice exercises, and targeted skill-building. Lessons are tailored to each learner and suitable for GCSE, upper secondary, A-Level, and adult students, helping them improve understanding, writing, and confidence.
