About Martha
I am a finalist studying English at The University of Cambridge having received all A*'s at GCSE and A-Level. Within the subject I have a specialist interest in Modern Dramatic texts. I am also a keen performer, playwright and published poet.

I work positively, encouraging students to think beyond study guides or textbooks. Ensuring students feel connected to the subject and learn to find aspects within it that excite them is key to my teaching. I try to pinpoint issues my students may be struggling with, improve those skills (such as textual analysis, originality and writing style) through practice, detailed feedback and explaining the mark scheme. The length of my lessons are typically 50-60 minutes. I have tutored students to improve from C to A* grades. I am happy to help students navigate the Oxbridge application process, offering mock-interviews with feedback.
