About Cosima
I am currently studying to be a Secondary Music Teacher at the University of Cambridge. I completed my Undergraduate study in Music at the University of York where I led music workshops in local primary and secondary schools.
Whilst studying for my A-Levels I taught the younger years Music Theory, helping all students to pass with Merits and Distinctions. This ignited my love of teaching, in particular, music teaching.
I have sung in a professional classical setting for 12 years, performances including the BBC Proms under the direction of Sir John Eliot Gardiner and recording for the soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt.1. As well as this, I have been playing the piano for over 12 years, often performing whilst at my educational institutions.

As a musician and PGCE student I have been able to refine my teaching methods to create engaging, creative and effective music lessons for my students. I offer a personalised approach when teaching in order to help each student in a way that is suited to their desires and needs.
I have achieved my Grade 8 Piano with Merit and my Grade 8 Singing with Distinction; on top of 12 years of musical experience and learning.
I offer Music Theory (up to and including Grade 5), Singing and Piano lessons in person or online. Lesson length vary on each pupils desires and needs; I offer 30min or 1hour lessons.
