I give one-to-one online or in-person tutoring.
Education is dependent on learning, so ensuring that you are keen to learn your subjects is one of my key goals - without this, attempting to get 9s at GCSE or A*s at A Level can be tiresome.
I tutor in three main steps:
1. Content-based learning - at this stage, the topic is taught through a series of simplistic diagrams, hand-written notes, slides and discussions with you - the last medium being the most important as it allows you to engage with you topic, hence you are more likely to remember the content!
2. Exam-based learning - at this stage, we do two things: a) look at the topic we have just learnt through with a focus on the exams, and b) practise, practise, practise!
Each exam question attempted is either a 'Mechanics' or 'Purpose' question. A 'Mechanics' exam question is one that focuses on recall of knowledge, and a 'Purpose' exam question is one that focuses on applying this knowledge to foreign/known contexts - being accurate in your responses to both types of questions is vital to acing your exams!
I give online, or in person, one-to-one tutoring.
I fuse multiple scientifically proven learning styles & models together in order to provide effective tactics as well as the considering each student's individuality, allowing them to flourish in their subjects seen by quantitative/qualitative progress.
At this stage, we will also reflect on each question, taking advantage of a simplistic method of reviewing your response to exam questions to better your exam technique
3. Reflection & Conclusion - at this stage, we will discuss your thoughts on the topic, any final questions you may have and rate your confidence in the topic along a scale
I record your confidence in each topic and how well you did in each exam question attempted: this way, you can see your progress in a subject without having to track it yourself! (Other information is also recorded, which is also available upon request)

I started lessons with Manav when I felt completely lost in A Level Chemistry, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made. He has a relaxed but focused approach that made me feel like I could tackle anything, even the topics I thought I’d never understand.
He really tailors each lesson to your specific needs. If I had a tricky concept, he’d find a new way to explain it until it clicked for me. He’s also fantastic at tying everything back to the exam questions, so I always felt like I was learning with a purpose. Beyond just teaching, he made me feel confident in my ability to improve, which motivated me to push myself more.
If you’re looking for someone who’s approachable, adaptable and genuinely cares about your progress, I can’t recommend Manav enough. He’s not just a tutor—he’s the kind of guide who helps you believe in your own potential, and that’s invaluable.Manav was a huge help when I was preparing to apply for Cambridge Natural Sciences. He guided me through the process step-by-step, from refining my personal statement to preparing for the admissions assessment. What I appreciated most was how he made everything feel manageable—breaking down complex ideas and helping me link my knowledge across subjects. He also gave me tips on how to think critically and approach interview questions with confidence. Thanks to his support, I felt fully prepared and went into the application process feeling calm and ready.
When we started with Manav as a tutor, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My son, Liam, had been struggling to keep up with his GCSE work, particularly in Biology and Geography. From the very first session, it was clear that Manav wasn’t just any tutor—he really listens. Liam felt comfortable with him straight away, which is no small feat since he’s usually quite reserved around new people.
What stood out the most was how adaptable Manav was. He didn’t come in with a one-size-fits-all plan. Instead, he spent time understanding how Liam learns and what motivates him. For example, Liam was really interested in environmental issues, so Manav found ways to weave that into their Geography sessions. Suddenly, topics that used to bore Liam became interesting, and he started engaging with the material on a deeper level.
Another thing I appreciated was Manav’s honesty. If Liam was falling behind in a topic or needed to focus more, Manav would let us know—not in a critical way, but in a way that made us feel like we were all on the same team. He also gave Liam practical tips on how to stay organised, which was a game changer during the stressful lead-up to exams.
It’s not just about the grades (although those have improved, too). Liam has started approaching his studies with more confidence, and I credit Manav for that. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the students he works with. If you’re looking for a tutor who can make a real difference, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.I found Manav really understanding when it came to my struggled with chemistry. Although it was hard at times, he broke down concepts well and gave me information and pointers when i was struggling. He tutored me for a level Geography too and had a wealth of resources and knowledge which made all my Geography sessions with him fun and engaging. I was able to control the path of our Geography lessons , so could explore things I liked. Manav always made sure that we went full circle with Geography concepts, tying them to the A Level exams
As a student of Manav, he helped me with university preparation and A Level Biology & Geography. He was always engaging and helped me realise my love for Geography outside of the A Level syllabus. He was clear with his feedback for Biology and was able to provide effective guidance and sessions specifically on the goal of improvement. I am so grateful for his help and was super confident going into my exams.
I found Manav when I was scrolling through superprof looking for a GCSE Biology tutor for my son, Andre. After the free lesson, me and Andre both felt confident in Manav's abilities. We also found his reassuring and Andre said that he felt comfortable around him, which was important for me because Andre suffers with severe anxiety, so having someone, like Manav, that is gentle, patient and understanding was vital. Manav's methodology has helped Andre to simplify his approach to his GCSEs as well as see his progress in a definitive manner. Manav has also been very helpful in the transition between GCSEs and A Levels, making the move to A Levels fun and engaging rather than terrifying. He has been a help to Andre over the previous summer holidays to refresh his memory and keep his brain active and ready for A Levels.
Since receiving tutoring from Manav, I have seen my children become more confident in their abilities to excel in science & maths GCSEs. Manav has been an excellent source of intellect, encouragement, constructive criticism and guidance. Though he has just finished his A Levels, he is very sure of capabilities, which is evidenced by his firm knowledge and ability to answer most questions. Manav has been honest when conversing with both me and my children, which has helped me keep track of my children's progress - I could not recommend someone better!
Manav is excellent at explaining complex topics in a simplistic manner which make them easy to understand. He always tailors his teaching style to the student to ensure they get the best educational support they can from him.
Very easy to talk to and encourages his students to ask questions if they don't understand and readily will walk you through your problem until you understand it. Explains things thoroughly and in the easiest way possible. Instead of just telling you how to solve a problem, he will tell you why you are doing what you're doing so you can easily apply the knowledge in the future. Very kind and supportive of all of his students. I would most definitely trust him to get me the top grade!
Manav is an excellent teacher and explains the most complex topics in a simplistic manner that allows for quick and easy understanding. He always tailors his teaching style to his students to ensure they can learn the best they can from him.
He has been very reliable and punctual with his timings and has always ensured that I understand what I'm learning. Manavs resources are extremely useful (even if they arent his own). I would completely recommend him for anyone doing their GCSEs or in the lead up to GCSEs. He is also very good at academic skills like revision timetables + time management.
I was one of Manav's previous students from two years below and he has really helped me with my GCSE Biology & Maths as well as some Chemistry. His teaching is clear and he uses different methods of teaching depending on the my confidence in the topic.
