About Gabrielle
My lessons combine clear explanations with interactive learning to keep students engaged and build their confidence. At the start of our sessions, I take the time to understand each student's goals and create a learning plan that suits their needs.
I support students with a range of goals, including:
Passing GCSE English Language and English Literature.
Achieving strong grades in A-Level English coursework.
Improving spelling, reading, and writing skills for SATs or 11+ exams.
To help students succeed, I also do the following:
Get to know their learning style through relaxed conversations, whether they learn best with visual resources, practical examples, or timed exam practice.
Break down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
Mark exam questions with detailed, personalised feedback to help students improve.
Use active recall and spaced repetition techniques to strengthen understanding and long-term memory.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt my teaching to each individual student. I am patient, creative, and supportive, and I work closely with students to help them build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential.

I have always been a student who needed to work a little harder to achieve good results. During my A Levels and university, that determination helped me go from achieving average grades to earning outstanding ones.
My academic journey hasn't been straightforward, but my strong skills in spelling, English, reading comprehension, and creative writing have helped me succeed. These experiences have shaped me into a hardworking, dedicated, and patient tutor who is committed to helping students achieve their best.
My flexible teaching style doesn't just focus on improving grades. I aim to help students become confident, curious, and ambitious learners who are ready to take the next step—whether that's earning a degree or securing their dream job.
