About Stef
I received Excellence endorsements across all three NCEA years, both overall and specifically in Economics, Geography, and Business Studies. In Year 13, I completed university-level Economics papers and was awarded the top student prizes in both Economics and Geography for Year 12 and Year 13. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics, from the University of Otago in 2023 and have taught multiple students in Economics.
I'm friendly, approachable, and passionate about sharing my love for economics. With a degree in the subject and a career in the field, I enjoy making complex ideas simple and helping students grow their understanding in a supportive environment. During my studies, I’ve come to see every problem as an opportunity to learn, and I’m passionate about sharing this mindset. I’m here to guide you through challenges, celebrate your progress, and inspire curiosity to make learning a rewarding experience.

My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to follow the NCEA curriculum. Typically lasting 1-2 hours, they cater to Level 1-3 students, however, the duration and focus can be adjusted to whatever suits you best. I focus on making Economics understandable and relatable, no matter where you are on your journey. I aim to keep students motivated and grow their confidence in their skills.
I use a variety of techniques to support students, including quizzes and self-reflection activities to track progress and build confidence, as well as goal setting to help set achievable milestones and celebrate successes. Additionally, I incorporate visual aids to make complex ideas easier to understand.
I am available from 4 pm onwards on weekdays and also during the day on weekends. I offer the first lesson free. Please flick me a message to set up a lesson :)
