BIO: bilingual French-English. I fell in love with French at 5 years old; at 17 I left the UK behind to live my dream in Paris, Montpellier, Strasbourg… Happy-sad to follow Aussie hubby to NSW when COVID hit. QUALIFICATIONS: First Class BHons Degree & Doctorate in French. Many years’ experience of teaching French (& English) language to adults. TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: Language acquisition only happens through genuine connections & conversations, with someone supportive to help grow your understanding of grammar & structure.

From experience, a typical experience might start with conversation, that leads into how to express an idea in French, why it’s expressed that way, leading on to related vocabulary or grammar, then back into conversation and on to a text or an exercise… But maybe you will need to begin with a particular document, or your next assignment, or a question from last time… Every one of our learning conversations will be tailored to your needs, supported by references for further independent practice & follow-up work together, to keep growing your understanding of French language.
