About Fiona
My name is Fiona and teaching is something I greatly enjoy doing, particularly when the students themselves are motivated to learn and improve. I attend a Russell Group University studying Psychology for my undergraduate degree and I want to go on to complete my postgraduate degree as well. Psychology was my favourite subject in school, despite two lockdowns interrupting my studies my passion for learning only increased - I can show you how I remained motivated and how to earn the rewards that everyone can achieve.

My lessons are ideally for students preparing for their final exams in Psychology. I have previous experience as a part-time tutor when I was 16 working with younger children aged 4 - 11 with their English and Maths; I have gained vital communication skills involved in a tutoring role and have grown from that experience. I have also tutored through GoStudent since March 2022 and have successfully completed 230 sessions. I believe that exam practice is one of the most efficient ways to improve, for Psychology this includes both short answers and the longer essays as all marks are important. The lessons would typically be an hour long, this is ample opportunity for essay practice to be done and compared to a mark scheme - this will enable the student to discover the gaps in their knowledge and what they need to improve on. I have kept a lot of my work from A levels; this includes marked class work, mini quizzes, revision PowerPoints, and entire past papers that I have completed. This means that as the student progresses I have model answers in front of me that are worthy of an A/A*. If students prefer, I can send them the revision PowerPoints to revise from if they think that'd be useful - the prices depend on the time taken to make the PowerPoint, the length and how many the student wants. I’d recommend Fiona to anyone looking for help with psychology as she not only knows the subject well but is also passionate and has experience with tutoring. Without Fiona I would’ve failed psychology A level.
