About Martina
Hello! My name is Martina, and I’m a Physics, Astrophysics, and Cosmology student at the University of Portsmouth, currently completing a Study Abroad Programme in Korea. I’m in my third year and have always been passionate about learning new languages and making learning an engaging and personalised experience. I’ve been tutoring since high school, helping students with subjects like Spanish, Physics, Biology, Maths, and English. Growing up in Catalonia, Spain, and experiencing various education systems across different countries has shaped my perspective on learning. I firmly believe that education shouldn’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach—everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way. My goal is to help anyone overcome challenges, build confidence, and truly be able to use Spanish, rather than just memorising sentences. Beyond academics, I have a wide range of passions, from high-risk sports to cinematography and community event organising. This diverse background allows me to connect with students on a personal level and adapt my lessons to their interests, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Hola! I’m a university student, and I love helping people learn and understand new languages. Whether you’re struggling with the basics of Spanish or aiming to improve your fluency, I’ll adapt my teaching to suit your needs. I like to use an adapted and personalised teaching approach. I will adjust my methods to match your learning style, whether that’s with visual, logical, or hands-on material. I will make sure you are able to use the language, not just memorise phrases or vocabulary. I aim to make lessons enjoyable and stress-free. I want to provide you with a supportive learning experience that builds your confidence. To create a lesson plan, we’ll discuss your goals and identify which areas of Spanish need attention. We will take different approaches depending on what you want to achieve. (ie. if you want to improve your listening we will focus on audio materials, or if you want to improve your grammar we will go through the norms and rules of the Spanish language.) We’ll go through guided practice and activities. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the lesson, and we’ll work together to solve them. I conduct engaging lessons that are easy to follow. I have a wide range of interests that help me relate concepts in unique ways, making it easier to understand any topic. My personal learning experience helps me guide students through tricky language concepts, study techniques, and test strategies.
