About Samaira
I'm Samaira, a Master of Commerce Extension student at the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance with a secondary focus in Accounting. I completed my undergraduate degree (BBA in Finance) in the same field, giving me a strong, consistent foundation in the subjects I teach.
Beyond the classroom, I actively trade and follow financial markets myself, and I'm currently preparing for markets-focused career opportunities so the concepts I teach aren't just theory to me, they're things I apply and think about regularly. I've also worked professionally in accounting and managed accounts, which means I can bring real world context to topics like financial statements, valuation, and financial analysis rather than just working through a textbook.
I take a patient, structured approach to every lesson, focusing on making sure students genuinely understand the material — not just memorize it for an exam while keeping communication clear and professional throughout.

Lessons typically run 60–90 minutes. Each session combines concept review, worked examples, and exam-style practice questions tailored to what the student is currently covering in class or preparing for. I place strong emphasis on connecting concepts to real-life situations for example, linking financial statement analysis to how actual businesses report performance, or relating statistical concepts to everyday decision-making so students understand the "why" behind the material, not just the mechanics. After each lesson, I provide personalised notes summarising key takeaways and common exam pitfalls, so students have something concrete to revise from and can track their progress over time.
