About Abdullah
Being a high achiever in academics, I was appointed as a paid “Teacher’s Assistant” for Mathematics for consecutive 2 years. This was on official employment and apart from teaching mathematics, I used to teach Physics and Chemistry as well. Many of my friends often approach me with their problems and praise my one-to-one teaching skills. I had many students who would come regularly to study and they credit their grades to my efforts. Even though I am in my first semester now, studying Bachelor of Commerce from University of Wollongong, I still find myself helping out my peers where they are stuck.

Teaching requires a lot of responsibility as the students' grades are dependent on my performance. Therefore, I always prepare for the next topic beforehand so that I can answer each question thoroughly. I have mainly taken one-to-one sessions because it is then easier for the students to grasp the concepts effectively and they feel comfortable to ask any questions without feeling embarrassed. Once every week, I used to conduct small group sessions as well which involved discussions and the students really liked this since they came across different approaches for the same topic. Before starting the topic, I would usually ask the students to explain what they know already about the topic. This helps me to clear their misconceptions and save time as well for more challenging topics. I also mention the common mistakes so that the students are vigilant while solving their problems.
