About Rory
I’ve spent 6 incredible years guiding singers to find and shape their unique vocal tone. My own journey started as a vocalist in small bands before I transitioned into vocal coaching and performance mentoring. Over time, I’ve developed a technique-driven, results-based teaching style that helps students grow at every level. I work with both adult and youth vocalists, tailoring each session to their goals and capabilities. I put strong emphasis on vocal health to ensure longevity and strength, and many of my students have reported improved speaking voices alongside singing skills. I use a variety of tools—backing tracks, mirror work, recordings—for feedback and improvement. What drives me most is the transformation I witness in students—from shy singers to confident performers. I believe singing is not just about sound, but identity. Whether you want to belt Broadway hits or croon soft ballads, I’ll help you achieve vocal freedom and artistic clarity.

Singing sessions in Leeds are more than just vocal practice—they're a full artistic and technical journey. Each class starts with warm-ups focused on breath control, diaphragm support, and tone clarity. Whether you're looking to sing in front of a crowd or in your living room, you'll learn to project, sustain notes, and sing on pitch with confidence. The core curriculum includes voice placement, articulation, and building dynamic range. Students work on songs from their preferred genres while also being introduced to unfamiliar styles to enhance adaptability. From jazz and pop to classical and rock, you’ll get a broad taste of music that challenges and strengthens your skills. Ear training and harmony work are embedded into the process to refine your musical ear and collaborative potential. A key focus is real-world application—preparing students for auditions, open mics, or personal performance goals. You'll also explore techniques in emotional delivery, microphone use, and overcoming performance anxiety. Progress is measured not just in vocal strength, but in your ability to express, connect, and truly enjoy your voice.
