About Shea
Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar) and over 11 years of playing and teaching experience. I have trained in a variety of genres, including rock, classical, folk, and blues, which allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s musical interests. I love helping both young learners and adult students build confidence on the instrument. My lessons focus on developing solid technical skills, such as chord transitions, fingerstyle techniques, and soloing, while also encouraging creativity and personal expression. I believe every student has a unique musical voice, and I tailor my teaching to nurture that individuality. Lessons are structured yet flexible, mixing exercises, repertoire, and improvisation to make learning engaging and rewarding. Whether you are a beginner aiming to play your first song or an intermediate player looking to master new styles, I provide guidance, support, and motivation every step of the way. My goal is to make guitar learning fun, inspiring, and fulfilling for every student.

My teaching approach focuses on building both skill and passion for the guitar. I guide students through classical, jazz, blues, rock, and pop styles, helping them explore different genres with confidence. Each lesson is designed to balance technique, creativity, and personal expression.
I emphasize finger strength, chord transitions, and scale mastery to develop solid technical skills. At the same time, I encourage improvisation and songwriting to foster creativity. Students learn to play melodies, riffs, and solos while understanding music theory in a simple, practical way.
I support learners who love storytelling through guitar and those who thrive on expressive, soulful playing, helping them shine in their preferred style. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s pace and goals.
I provide exercises, challenges, and repertoire to strengthen skills while keeping learning fun. I also introduce genre flexibility so students can confidently switch between styles. My goal is to help students not just play guitar, but enjoy it fully and express themselves freely.
