About Sierra
With over 15 years of singing experience, I've explored a wide variety of styles and genres, making me well-equipped to teach students of all levels and ages. I believe that teaching is a two-way street. I learn just as much from my students as they do from me! I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Songwriting and a minor in Music Technology, specializing in Vocal Performance. Now based in Los Angeles, I work as a professional songwriter in the music industry. My passion for teaching is deeply rooted in the support I received from my own teachers, and I’m inspired to provide that same encouragement to others. I love seeing people grow and being part of their journey—it's incredibly rewarding and fun! My songs have earned recognition, including awards from the 2021 Songs for Social Change Contest (showcase), the 2021 Annual Earthapalooza Concert, and back-to-back wins in the Michigan Music Education Association Songwriting Contest. When I’m not immersed in music, I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time with my dog, and exploring great food spots!
