About Broooks
Hi! I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a focus on voice. I offer personalised lessons to students of all levels—school learners, college students, and adult or professional singers. My teaching spans a range of styles, including classical, pop, movie, and folk singing. Each lesson is tailored to match your goals, interests, and current skill level. I place strong emphasis on ear training, harmony, and improvisation to help you become a more versatile vocalist. Music theory is woven into sessions in a simple, practical way that supports your singing growth. I believe in nurturing each person’s unique voice, not forcing it into a mould. My teaching uses safe, healthy vocal techniques to strengthen and protect your voice over time. Confidence is key, and I work with students to build that through consistent, encouraging feedback. My singing methodology is designed to help Church Ensemble Players and Crossover Artists master multiple genres with skill and confidence. Whether you're performing classical hymns, soulful jazz, or vibrant pop, I teach you how to adapt your vocal techniques to match each style. We focus on breath control, tone shaping, and pitch precision, tailoring exercises to the unique demands of every genre. Pitch control and vocal agility are core to every session. I help you develop a sensitive ear and flexible voice through targeted warm-ups and vocal drills. Musicality is equally important—we explore phrasing, dynamics, and emotional delivery to bring each song to life. Modern tools play a big role in your growth. We use DAWs to record and review performances, metronomes for timing, and pitch apps for ear training and tracking progress. My approach encourages exploration while building solid technique. Whether you're leading worship or blending genres on stage, you’ll learn to shift styles seamlessly. The goal is to create a confident, expressive singer who can perform across genres with authenticity and control.
