About Carly
Before I discuss credentials, the most important thing to know about me is I believe the voice is an extension of the self. Your emotional, mental, and spiritual health is important to me, and I am happy to meet you wherever you are in your process as a vocalist and a person. I am simply the biggest vocal nerd you will ever meet. BFA in musical theatre from one of the top programs in the country (University of Michigan). I began studying opera at the age of six, transitioned into musical theatre and jazz in high school, and continue to explore pop technique. I have trained with professors from all over the world, and I continue to train and learn to this day. I began teaching acting three years ago, and I have been a practicing vocal coach for the past two years. While singing is my life — I am also a bio nerd, love natural, huge foodie, and a holistic living coach.

Hello! I am a trained vocalist in many areas, so my practice creates versatile singers who can transition safely into whatever styles interest them most. I have a background in Estill Voice training (anatomy based training) and more traditional analogy/imaginative practices. For each singer, I create an individualized process to best fit their needs and goals. To me, creating a safe and brave space for students to explore their authentic voice and their authentic selves is my top priority. Additionally, I incorporate acting training and storytelling work into my practice.
